Nothing beats a true full on live performance (known as Live PA). The way Richie stands out when performing is just that. The style is mainly uplifting hard trance, trancecore (new bouncy style) and definately a live breakbeat flavour every now and then...! Every tune you hear is actually played live so its not just a case of clicking play on a mouse button and letting a computer do all the work (proper hardware sequencer used on-stage) instead Richie works his tunes on the fly... which means if a certain song needs to go more 'percussive' or the crowd need a more 'acid' or 'breakbeat' style then its hands on working with the loop sets, playing the live keyboard riffs (often freestyle!) on the master keyboard and watching the crowd love every minute.
	Great practise and effort goes into looking at crowd response, and by using various tactics the performance can be a very uplifting experience. It has taken since the early 1990's to gain enough experience and keyboard playing practise to put on such a performance, which was first seen in 1997 at the Alderney music festival all night quarry party, in the Channel Islands just off France.
Many hours are spent in the main studio working on new tunes, practising them (as seen here using the Air FX) and working on variations that can be used. As a qualified sound engineer, Richie makes sure the final mix of the tune is absolutely perfect before being played out. As for recording onto vinyl, Much consideration is added regarding I.G.D. (Inner Groove Distortion where the higher frequencies sound worse towards the centre of a record, especially hi-hats) Not many producers take this into account when preparing for a master mix which is one of the many reasons other artists seek Richie's help with their work.
